New Years Resolutions

IT'S 2015!

Now, as it's the beginning of the new year, I thought I'd do something that I've never actually tried before. Obviously from the title, you know what I'm talking about, but anyway...

It's my New Years Resolutions! YAY!

"What, you've never done this before?!?!" Well, I've never even made it till midnight and I've had 14 chances.

But I made it this year!

From now on, I refuse to let the year just gone be divided from the next by sleep! I will stick it out until midnight.

Our family never really does anything special for New Years Eve, we just have some friends over till 9pm, then our parents change all the clocks to 12am and we watch the Sydney fireworks (They are three hours ahead of WA incase you didn't know).

The last 14 years of my life seem to have absolutely flown by. It seems only yesterday that I was travelling round Australia in a hail-dented caravan (that we're now selling for a tent!), or walking into High School for the first time as a wee twelvie.

This year has been super exciting for me; I performed at the Crown theatre infront of 3 thousand people, I FINISHED NAPLAN and I don't have to do OLNA next year, and I got Sims for Christmas (Ok, maybe not the most amazing thing ever, but I'm human, ok?). But definately the most exciting thing that happened this year, and was definately a very big milestone in my life... I got baptised! This was a big deal for me, and I'm really glad I chose to do it.

Anyway... back on topic.

I heard on the radio the other day not to make 'Dead Man's Wishes'. This means, when picking your New Years Relolutions, don't pick something a dead man could do.

For example:
'I'm going to give up chocolate for the year.' Can a dead man give up chocolate? Yes, of course. He's dead (duh).
What you could say is, 'I'll go to the gym once a week.' Can a dead man go to the gym once a week? No, of course not. He's dead (duh).

Also, make your goals achievable. Don't have ten resolutions, because it is unlikely you'll tick all the boxes. Maybe aim for no more than four. That's just my advice.

So, with this newfound knowledge inside my brain, I will create my New Years resolutions!

  1. I will always remember to send a card to my sponser child on time, not after it is supposed to arrive on the other side of the world.
  2. I will blog as often as I can for as long as I can.
  3. I will keep my room clean(ish).
  4. I will read more books instead of always playing the sims.
So there you have it! My New Years Resolutions are up for the whole of the Internet to see. I hope you all achieve your own New Years Resolutions and that you all had a very happy New Years Eve!

Happy New Year!!!

Lots of love, Little Robin
